Monday, March 2: Emil Altschuler

Welcome solo violinist Emil Altschuler to the Peabody Library to kick off our Spring Concert Series.

Emil will perform solo works by Bach, Paganini, Ysaÿe, Piazzolla, Gardel, Williams, and more. Don’t miss this thrilling, eclectic virtuoso program.

Monday, March 16: Nancy Fiske

Nancy Fiske, multi-instrumentalist, presents:

Music is Melody is Music

An exploration of melody through time and place on 10+ different wind instruments.

This fascinating program spans music from Medieval times to today, from Spain, Ireland, England and the US.

Monday, May 4: Áine Minogue

On May 4, as spring settles fully into the year, Irish harpist and singer Áine Minogue returns to the Sutton Room for a contemplative evening of Irish harp and song.

Set within the warm, wood-paneled elegance of this historic library space, To Welcome in the Spring offers music shaped by season, silence, and an invitation to pause and dwell in the quiet beauty of early May.

Born and raised in Borrisokane, County Tipperary, Ireland, Áine Minogue is an award-winning harpist, singer, arranger and composer who has entertained Presidents and Prime Ministers and traveled extensively to perform at concerts across the United States and around the world.

Monday, May 18: Susan and Roy Hagen

Join Peabody residents double bassist Susan Hagen and her father guitarist Roy Hagen as they take you on a journey of beautiful music throughout the ages. This varied program will have something for everyone!

Susan Hagen is a life-long resident of Peabody and worked in the PIL children’s department as a teen. She is now a professional musician, performing as an extra player with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra, and as principal double bass of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra (the first female to hold that position). She also teaches at the Berklee College of Music. A lifelong North Shore resident, Roy has lived in Peabody for many years, taught music/technology in the Salem, MA, school district and has been an active performer since he was a teenager. This is sure to be a fun evening!

Experience the unique musical fusion of Hungrytown, the artistic collaboration of Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson. With Hall’s timeless songwriting and Anderson’s masterful instrumental arrangements, their music blends traditional folk with rich harmonies and intricate instrumentation. Don’t miss this captivating performance!
